Commitment to Accessibility
FLOW Inspires Us is committed to making www.flowinspiresus.com accessible to all people, including those with disabilities. We recognize that web accessibility is important to ensure that everyone can access, navigate, and shop on our site.
We are actively working to improve the accessibility of our website in accordance with international best practices. Accessibility is a continuous process that always evolves, and we are committed to constant improvement. We acknowledge that our site is currently in progress toward full compliance with the highest accessibility standards.
Accessibility Standards - Our Goal
Our website is being continuously improved to work toward the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, which is the internationally recommended standard for web accessibility.
Although we are still in progress toward full compliance with this standard, these guidelines guide our work and include:
Perceivability: Content must be perceivable to all users, including those with visual or hearing disabilities. We provide text alternatives for images, captions for videos, and sufficient contrast between colors.
Operability: The site must be navigable using keyboard only (without a mouse). All interactive elements must be accessible with keyboard navigation and sufficient time to read and use the content.
Understandability: Text and instructions must be clear and easy to understand. We use simple language and logical structures.
Robustness: The site must work with a wide variety of browsers, assistive technologies (screen readers, magnifiers, etc.), and devices.
Accessibility Features Implemented
Our site includes the following accessibility features:
Alternative text: All product images have text descriptions that explain what is shown in the image, allowing users with vision problems to understand the content.
Keyboard navigation: You can navigate completely through the site using the Tab and Enter keys, without needing a mouse.
Visible focus: When you navigate using the keyboard, there is a clear visual indicator showing where you are on the site.
Color contrast: Text and interactive elements have sufficient contrast with the background to be readable.
Text resizing: The site works correctly even if you increase the text size in your browser.
Screen reader compatibility: The site is coded to work with popular screen readers such as NVDA, JAWS, and your device's native reader.
Semantic structure: We use appropriate HTML tags that help assistive devices understand the structure of the content.
Labeled forms: All data input fields have associated labels that explain what information is required.
Shopify platform: FLOW uses Shopify, which also works continuously to improve accessibility in its platform and templates.
Known Limitations
Although we strive to comply with WCAG 2.1 Level AA standards, there are some areas where the site may not be completely accessible:
Third-party content: Some elements such as the WhatsApp button, analytics tools, and other third-party integrations may not be fully accessible if their providers do not meet accessibility standards. We are monitoring these tools to identify more accessible alternatives when necessary.
Product videos: We have silent videos showing models wearing our clothing items. While these videos do not have audio and therefore do not require captions, some may not have complete text descriptions of what is shown in the video. We are working to add text descriptions to all videos so users with visual disabilities can better understand how the garment looks when worn.
Product images: All our product images have descriptive alternative text. However, completely describing the variety and visual details of diverse products is an ongoing challenge, and we continuously seek to improve these descriptions.
Continuous evolution: Web accessibility is a field that constantly evolves. New tools, standards, and best practices emerge continuously, and we are committed to incorporating them into our improvements.
Available Accessibility Tools
Browser adjustments: Most modern browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge) have built-in options to increase text size, invert colors, and activate high contrast mode. Check your browser's documentation to learn how to use these features.
Screen readers: If you use a screen reader, our site has been designed to be compatible with the major ones:
NVDA (free, Windows): https://www.nvaccess.org/ JAWS (commercial, Windows): https://www.freedomscientific.com/ VoiceOver (built-in, Mac/iOS): Press Command + F5 on Mac TALKBACK (built-in, Android): Access from Settings > Accessibility
